The Althea Sconce balances modern simplicity with an elegant and artful design. With a steel structure in a vintage polished brass finish, the sconce brings balance and brightness to your home through its cloud alabaster glass shade. Conceived in the Josenart studio, the Althea takes its formal cue from the globe — the sphere's perfect geometry. Its wholeness, the way the eye travels around its surface without interruption. A polished Vintage Brass dome cap sits atop a frosted opal glass globe, the two halves meeting at a precise equatorial seam. Above, the dome's surface catches and reflects the room's light with a warmth that feels almost solar — a small, brilliant planet mounted to your wall. Between the arm and the shade, a ring loop connector hangs from the brass stem — a detail borrowed from the vocabulary of fine jewellery. A solid brass ball finial punctuates the connection below it. The designer deliberately treats every element of the fixture, including its hardware, as essential and ensures it meets a standard worthy of close inspection, rather than treating these components as merely decorative additions. The frosted opal glass globe below the dome is what makes the Althea extraordinary as a light source.
