What is inside the crate?
Every lighting product leaves the factory with double protection: the fixture goes into its own carton, and that carton goes inside a reinforced wooden crate. Installation instructions are packed with the fixture. The customization service page states this packing for all lighting products.
Packing is the last step, not the first. Before the crate is closed, real photos and videos of the finished fixture are sent to you for confirmation, and only after you confirm does the packing start. The customization service page lists this as step 5 of the process.

Which orders go by truck freight instead of UPS or FedEx?
The shipping policy sets two delivery methods for the final leg inside the United States. Items that meet the standard size and weight limits of UPS or FedEx go by parcel. Larger or heavier items go by standard truck freight. The policy does not publish a numeric cut-off in inches or pounds, so the method for a borderline piece is confirmed when the order is placed.
Furniture is the clearest case for truck freight. 80 of the active listings are in the furniture collection: 24 accent chairs, 15 accent tables, 11 sideboards, 9 dining chairs, 6 dining tables, 6 sofas, 5 beds, 2 TV stands, 1 nightstand and 1 bookcase. A solid-wood dining table of this size falls in the larger-and-heavier group the policy sends by truck freight; the method is confirmed when the order is placed.
Truck freight is not used for delivery to Canada. Curbside means the trucking company brings the crate to the kerb outside your address; moving it inside and setting it up is done by you, so have more than one person available.

What happens on delivery day?
For a truck-freight delivery the carrier phones you at least 24 hours before the delivery and agrees a delivery window, usually about four hours wide. If no one is home when the truck arrives, a re-delivery fee applies.
Timing before that call follows the standard estimate of approximately 4 to 7 weeks in total after final drawing approval; the production and shipping time guide walks through each stage.
What should I do if the crate arrives damaged?
If damage is visible on the crate or carton when it arrives, do not accept or sign for the package. Ask the carrier for a damage notification and contact us with it.
If the crate looks fine but the fixture is damaged when you unpack it, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Keep all the packaging and take photos of the damage and of the packaging. The carrier runs a separate one-week claim window; that deadline belongs to the carrier and is not the same as our 48-hour request, so report early rather than waiting for either limit.
Because the crate holds a piece you already saw in photos and video before packing, a damage report can be compared against the pre-packing record of the fixture.

On 2026-09-17 we pulled all 1,070 active product listings from the josenart.com store through the Shopify Admin API and read the size band field on each: 927 listings carry one, 117 include the Oversized 60 inch and over band and 110 include the Extra large 40 to 60 inch band, with a multi-band listing counted once. Oversized counts by type use the product type field. The furniture count is the furniture collection's product count (80), broken down by the product type field. Packing, photo and video confirmation, delivery method, the Canada exclusion, the 24-hour call, the four-hour window, the re-delivery fee, the damage windows and the free shipping statement are quoted from the customization service page and the store shipping policy on the same date.
